Modern B5 blue formula variations?

I had my local paint store mix up my B5 blue for my 70' Challenger. The 70's B5 blue has more of a greenish tint to it from the newer B5 blue being offered. The match was a perfect match. here it is repainting my engine bay.

And I had them mix some in aerosol cans for me so I could spray paint smaller parts like my front suspension, chute mount & wheelie bars.

Do you have the product number for the spray paint? My 70 Satty is B5 and I need to spray the side marker light housings. Brand? Formula? Color number? Thanks.

I have it at home. I will look this weekend & send it as soon as I can.

FQD is the 2015 B5 blue pearl coat code on the hellcat

I like the gold, everyone does blue
Up here everything is yellow or black or white. I'm doing my '70 Bee clone in B5 with white buckets, C stripe, and roof. Super nice. I once saw a '70 Charger R/T in a Root Beer color. Not sure what the color was called but it was spectacular.

Can never be too many of any color around here, Southern Ontario, Canada. Unless I go to a car show I don't see any of any color. In the past 30 years I have probably seen 3 blue 70-74 Mopars.

Coincidentally I went from Gold to Blue. :)

I feel pretty well qualified to answer this.

I had a 2015 Charger Scat Pack, and later a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack, both B5 Blue. I now have a 1970 Charger, B5 Blue.

Both modern cars had the same color. There was no difference in shade or flake, or anything. However both were lighter and.....sparklier.....than the 70 B5.

I love B5 Blue, the 70 Charger has been in the family for 30+ years and I've aways drooled over the color, but I do honestly prefer the modern B5 because of how bright it is.

Here's the 15 next to the 70 when it was still my pop's.....you can see the huge difference in shade. Neither one is better or worse, just whichever you prefer.

In Chrysler Power (R.I.P. Roland Osborne!) a while ago there was a White Hat Special '70 R/T Hemi Charger; B5 Blue, white bucket interior, white vinyl top. It has to be one of the most attractive cars on the planet and only confirmed why I'm doing my '70 Bee clone in the same scheme.

I like that combo too !!!!!

I came upon this thread for no particular reason except nostalgic for my long departed high school ride circa 1980...

I do wonder why sometimes b5 blue like on a 69 seems a little lighter/creamier kinda like b3 from 68...??

Anyone know if there are any variations in the modern B5 blue during 2015-2018 model years?

With the 451 taken care of, I might just have the bodywork and spray on the list this next year and th modern B5 really strikes me over the 69 version.

My best friend has an a66 70 challenger that looks a lot like that charger. I wonder if they are the same mix. Her color is b7.
Also, color mixing is voodoo science. I have a 57 chevy, Sierra gold and Adobe beige ( really a new-copper-penny color) so I started looking for that color at shows. I saw three 56/57s parked next to each other that were all supposed to be sg, the were MILES different in shade.
