"Some of you have heard rumors, but it's now official. Harris Publications of NYC will cease producing Mopar Action magazine, effective with the next issue. Longtime friend and Editor, Cliff Gromer, will soon be joining Chrysler Power magazine. The Chrysler Power/Chrysler Power Classic brand will soon be the Mopar community's #1 source for print/newsstand/online/event content."

Just read this at Chrysler Power Classic Face Book page on April 27.

"As the result of announcement of Harris Publications shutting down Mopar Action, Cliff Gromer (MA Editor) and Roland Osborne have been in serious discussions regarding the ongoing editorial package of MA loved by so many Mopar enthusiasts… As of this writing, after long and thoughtful discussions with advertisers, newsstand consultants, and editorial staff, Chrysler Power will joyfully fulfill all remaining MA subs exposure, advertising contracts and editorial calendar… continuing the very successful MA newsstand circulation presence under the Chrysler Power bipad (required by current newsstand policies)…
We are all extremely excited to see these longtime friends, Cliff & Roland, bringing their passion for the Mopar enthusiast community together, teaming up through print, internet and social media to continue to promote ALL THINGS MOPAR!!!
For immediate release…"

If the bean counters at Harris are pulling the plug on Mopar Action and Cliff Gromer is joining forces the Roland Osborn at Chrysler Power magazine it may be a good thing going forward. Gromer will be able to bring some of the content and features liked so well by Mopar Action fans and strengthen the content of Chrysler Power. I hope it is a rebirth of sorts. Who knows what the future holds. This is obviously a fluid situation at this time.

Sorry to see Mopar Action go.

"SNEAK PEEK at things to come... When Harris closed their doors it left Mopar Action with no place to go but oblivion. Roland Osborne and Chrysler Power have opened their arms to the continuation of MA, one of the very best Mopar magazines ever produced... We need help from ALL MA subscribers... We don't know who you are as Harris did not give out that information nor the monies they collected from you... HOWEVER-if you go to the CPWEBSTORE.COM and click on the CPMA link, it will allow you to give us your info and extend your sub for a year for only $25 so we have some cashflow to help fulfill ALL the rest of your sub at MA... Is that fair enough?
PLEASE SHARE SO WE GET AS MANY OF THE MOPAR ACTION SUBSCRIBERS TAKEN CARE OF AS POSSIBLE...thanks!"

Go to subscription link and you will find tab for CPMA.

I may be wrong but it looks like CP will fulfill your MA subscription as it stands but is asking for a extension to generate cash flow with all the extra magazines. More to come I am sure.

"Chrysler Power as everyone has come to know and love it will not change... CPMA will come out even number months and CP will come out odd months... They will be distinctly themselves with Cliff and EBerg doing CPMA and Osborne and crew doing CP... although we will ALL be collaborating to bring you more than you ever dreamed possible in a Chrysler enthusiast community activity endeavor! Watch for a Chrysler Power Classic event coming to you soon too!

For those wondering about why we can't keep the MA name, it's owned by Harris along with the newsstand bipad (barcode)... The ONLY way to keep MA alive is under the CP umbrella so our working acronym is CPMA and the cover is a NEW SCHOOL Chrysler Power. logo.. get it?"

Last post from CP on FB today that I know of.

So it looks like Gromer and Eberg will shift gears with Roland and join forces so to speak with a dual identity.

Too bad for Mopar Action "I use to like it", one of the better ones
But;
I haven't gotten' any mags for almost 10 years now,
all went down hill once the internet took off,
get the info far easier {cheaper} & much more of it

So on top of our paid subscription, we are to give them an additional $25 to get the rest of the year's subscription?! That becomes a rather expensive 1 yr script! Think I'll write off my losses.

As I said in a previous post. CP will honor your current subscription to MA. You have to go to CP web site, Subscriptions and CPMA link to get your info. Now since no money is coming from Harris to you the subscriber or CP all they are asking is for you to give them (CP) and extension on your current MA subscription. It looks like you will get you subscription filled whether you renew/extend your subscription or not. That is how I read it anyway. Just look as CP subscription page. They have CPMA link with a $0 attached.
I do not work for CP nor have I spoken to anybody there. Just reading and sharing what I can.

You missed it. They are asking for subscribers to extend their subscriptions because Harris Pubs has decided to not forward the monies they have already for existing subscriptions of MA. All CP is asking is for a little help is all and I do not see an issue with asking for one. It is your option to do so or not. When you update your current subscription info with CP they have an accept or decline option to do this. I went ahead myself personally and extended but again you do not have to. Unless one is living from pay check to pay check than it really isn't all that much to keep the best MOPAR Magazine and Gomer/EBoogher still in the mix. Just my 2 cents but go ahead and do it for the sake of a great Magazine and some of the best Tech/Resto info out there...cr8crshr/Tuck:thumbsup::usflag:

Mopar Action = best reading material while sitting on the porcelain throne. Thanks for the info.

Yes, indeed !

I heard that all of Harris Publication is down the drain also.

New York-based enthusiast publisher Harris Publications notified employees today that the company is shutting down, effective immediately, after nearly four decades.

from April 28

I wonder if the Mopar Action website with all it's tech stuff will vanish too. I hope not.

Thanks for the heads up - my MA scrip is paid to April of 2017.

so that's three years sub (two years + this one ) down the drain :BangHead: + 25 for the rest of this year if I want it

where do I sign up for the "class action" from subscribers trying to get their money back :mob: ( any lawyers on here )
