Compared to the 002 & 003 3000lb SS Leaf springs currently on my 3600 lb B body, what difference in rear static body height will the 3600 lb SS springs produce ? Also, any difference in launch rear body rise compared to my existing 002 & 003 3000 lb SS springs. Thx for any response.

don` t know the answer to ur question, but we ran 002-003 springs on a 67,tubbed, hemi belvedere back in the day, wasn`t too high, and worked pretty well w/ the rear unclamped. couldn't keep clamps on the front, or a pinion snubber on it, it would tear them up! The tires back then really sucked for the most part, she was only really hooked up about 3 times, w/ 16x32firestones. Carried the front wheels about 6" high till I pulled 2nd gear. (727)

Can't answer about ride height, but, springs are rated for the weight of the car.

Yeah I'd be looking at 3400 or 3600#. No answer for ride height either but I had 3400's on my Bee way back & height wasn't objectionable that I remember(and I'm pretty conservative)

I have the 456/457 3400lb springs on my 69 GTX and it sits pretty levelalthough the front is raised a touch because of the deep sump oil pan.

Here's the 456/457 3400 lb springs in my '68 GTX with the battery in the trunk. It hits the tires pretty hard on launch without too much body rise.

I put the P4452982 and P4452983 on my charger and you can see about 2" above the tire. They are going back to Summit. Super stiff by the way but I'm trying to lower the car.

max340 are those 3600# springs? I'm looking to replace in the spring. Neither outlaw or threewood looks objectionable to me,but that's just me. Also you have to remember they will sag a little after a year or two. Jeff

I believe they are. Summit has them described as for a hemi car. Check them out on their site.

I have the 3400 lb Super Stock springs I bought from Mancini and this is how my 63 Sport Fury sits as this pic was taken a few months ago. Ron

And this is the car launching. It actually did not hook good on this pass as my 60 ft was bad on this pass. You can see it always lifts the left front tire a bit more then the right front but the car goes nice and straight all the time. Ron

was not impressed with summit mopar springs made in mexico. try espo springs I wanted hight they are great to work with.

Just picked up springs from ESPO today for the 67 R/T, they look great!

Yep. My 65 weighed in at 3625 with me in it.So it was 3400# for me .

back in the day, when s.s. springs were the hottest ticket, Chrysler always said it was better to go to a lighter spring than a heavier one for dragracing. You just may have to replace them once in a while. Tom Hoover even told us that in okc one time !
The lighter spring will allow weight transfer better at launch to rear since there's less resistance. Just this swap alone with stickier tires, we immediately blew a rear once.

Yea as my 63 goes like 3725 with me so I also went with the 3400 lb springs. When I ran a 3300 lb A-body I ran the 3000 lb springs the 002 & 003 springs. Ron
