Restoring metal parts with Muriatic Acid.

Intelligent and dumb members avoid using this acid. Excuse the refrence from above regarding intelligent members. Avoid uding Hydrochlric be safe and use mild product like phosphoric or citric. it will work slow and save your metal and health risk. Case closed! issue fixed.

A mix of soda ash, and water...if needed. I've been using only a 10-15% mix...letting it work overnight.

Depends on the part, and it's finish. Pretty much yes, but then (before coating with anything) dry using compressed air. If it gets painted, a coat of primer first.
 
Lug nuts took around five minutes.
