Steering column gear shift controls for a '71 B-Body. Have headers on my motor and have TTi's shifter adapter to go over the headers. The instructions says to modify the rod for the adapter to go to the tranny. The question is: Is there a different length rod for the tranny? Reason is, it seems mine might be too short to reach the trans. Circled in red in the picture

Thanks

I don't believe there would be another rod, probably just eng/trans specific.

Thanks, oldbee I didn't think there was a different size. BTW-727 trans

904 and 727 use the same trans rod in 71 for a column shift. If your rod does not seem to be the correct length and your other linkage pieces are from a 71 B you may have the wrong trans lever

Let me rummage I believe I may have said rod I went to a 4 speed so rod not needed just finding it will be fun !
