Currently am using worn out glass beads, does a great job. Not concerned if it changes the housing of the connecter's color. All will be very similar, and the spades look new, but not glossy.............Doing the entire under dash and firewall, engine compartment. Any better methods ? thanks again for the knowledge sharing

try lemon oil works super on copper

I'm not sure how relevant or what kind of impact it will have ( probably miniscule at most) but there is a reason electrical connectors are smooth and that is to provide the largest contact patch posisible.
Its a lot like comparing a slick to an all weather tire & the grip, the larger the contact the better flow of electrons ( amperage) just by sheer surface area to the clamping jaws.
I wouldn't worry about them unless they are really pitted and use a conductive electrical grease when putting them together.

Pull the wires from the connectors and use tarn-x on the terminals then rinse well and let dry then coat with a good electrical moisture barrier. Reinstall in connector
