I weighed my 62 Dodge Polara with a 383, dual 4 barrels with cast iron manifold, Max Wedge up swept exhaust and 3 inch exhaust, front disc conversion, Crager 15 inch wheels with 255-70's on the back and 225-70's on the front.

Full tank of gas. Two lawn chairs in the trunk (maybe 30 Pounds.)
3880 pounds.

A little heaver than I thought.

i believe it. my '65 coronet went 3780 without as much iron under the hood as yours.

i was surprised to hear your car weighed that much.
i recall my 62 dart being super light...? with a single 4 383 auto...

also,im not sure how much they weigh,
but i picked a set of those cragars up last weekend and was surprised at how Heavy those are as well....just a thought?

I had my 63 fury weighted and it was 3440 with a 440 and a 4speed

Thought they were lighter than that. Always thought that they were 3400 or 3500 lbs. Guess I'm going to be the boat anchor in the driver's seat.

My car with out myself and a full tank of gas would weigh around 3550 with out the factory A/C would loose probably another 50 pounds.

Thanks for the weight in!

It's mostly the engine and trans. When I had my engine and trans out, I could push it in and out of the garage without hardly any effort. I'd even move it from one side of the shop to the other with a floor jack. (Front then back). Engine and trans are back in, now I can hardly budge it! Lol

They do have some nice steel in these cars

I don't think they were that light unless they were light weight cars. My '65 that is back halfed, tubbed, no rear seats, fiberglass bumpers, fuel cell etc. is exactly 3,300 lbs.

Drive on scale or did you get the weights on each wheel?

3660 using wheel scales for my 65, without me and with 1/2 tank of gas.

Mine was a drive on at the local feed store. It is state certified, by Louisiana for what that is worth.
I also had my T-Bucket weighed there and I found it was surprisingly heavy at 2050 pounds.

3,380 with mild steel 6 pt rollbar, subframe connectors and Cal-Tracs added. Full interor. Aluminum heads, intake water pump and housing. About the only weight reduction effort other than engine is heater box delete and A100 seats.
