Looks like a okie lift. I say that because I spent most of my life in Oklahoma. We used a tree a couple times and even a backhoe once. It worked pretty good.
Broke my 426 Wedge motor at Byron IL. Brought it back home & we pulled it in my buddy's apartment garage. A chain hoist hung from 2x4 rafters, very scary. I was pretty sure we were going to die. Got it out without destroying the garage. Maybe not the same as a tree, but sure was an interesting adventure.
