As far as the converter, they make new ones.

And if this is yours, you have a very contaminated trans and cooling system. What a mess

Correct. We disassembled trans completely and cleaned and checked everything. Replaced all seals and gaskets and installed an older 4000 rpm converter for this year. It was a soft year. Only made about 30 8th mile passes. I ordered a new unit from Ultimate Converter Concepts and we are looking forward to a busy 2018. Dave
