Anyone know where I might be to find and download a pix of a 426 max wedge. Years ago in 1963 my brother had one and he was killed in it by a drunk driver. Anyway I am trying to find just an engine pix to download and use for my wallpaper. Thanks, Dave

You can type "426 max wedge" into google then hit images. You'll probably see more pics than you'll know what to do with.

Here ya go. Ron

thanks for the max wedge pix

Thanks alot guys, exactly what I was lookin for. Dave

i got a complete one sitting on a engine cradle in my garage with 2000 original miles.

Very cool photos guys, I love them Max Wedges

keep in mind that the photo has alot of incorrect colors on it. air cleaners are semi gloss black with 20% flattening agent, valve covers are engine color, spark plug wires are burnt orange in colorand carb return springs should be red.

Chrome air cleaners and chrome valve covers were a factory option for the 1964 engines, so that's why I chose to do mine that way. I didn't race the car, so they provided a greater "Wow Factor" at the shows we entered.

Ive been reading a lot on these thanks to a member. they were, are a unique engine. Couldn't even imagine what the real ones are worth and how COOL it would be to have one, i think it, if i had one would have a place in my mans cave here in my humble home. I have the 400 that i hope will be in mine by the end of next summer, hopefully. Thanks for the pics, very nice...

my max wedge motor

here's a shot of my max wedge motor in my 1964 aluminum nose 330,
note the original paint on the firewall and wheelwells...
p.s. most of the time it's my screen saver

not on a max wedge motor. it was an option on the street wedge,
i had a stage III VMP motor in my 64 savoy. no chrome anything in the engine bay.
Not looking to start a arguement. it does look good and is a wow factor but not correct for the purist.

I have a original 62 date code stage II on mygarage floor aLso untouched for comparison.
