Just watched the choppers live, after the buildoff last night. Pritty pissed about the outcome. Being PJD The "fans" voted for a bike built 80% by people not part of the company. But its just a rant. Definantly should of been Jesse

Agree!

Some interesting design features on the PJD bike but its a trailer queen meant for shows only. Jesse's bike is real. I would ride that thing anywhere.

I don't know what the hell Sr. was thinking. Maybe he is trying to sell more toys in Wal-Mart.

Definantly reminds me of a rc toy

I have the same opinion!
Only guys who "BUILD" things would know the differance in this "BUILD OFF"!!!!

The problem with this contest was the fact that the "general public" doesnt understand what "fabrication" is. They just see something being put together with farmed out parts and think its a "custom"

Wow I agree it should have been Jesse James Bike for sure, I didn't like his tank much but he should have won... Paul Sr.s flame throwing track thing was kind of cool, but it's not a bike, they shouldn't have built it, they should have just built a bike an "old Bober" or something... Paul Jr. is such a TV Reality Show Poser & a complete joke in my opinion, how about building something that you can at least ride, more than up to, or on a stage, not just some theme based crap all the time... I loved it when Jesse said "lets ride them, let's go 90mph out on the road", then he asked Jr. "what's you so called bike have, 3/4's of a gallon fuel tank ?, can it go 10 miles even ?", Jr. replied "it's got a 1 gallon tank & could go maybe 20 miles", with no response to actually riding them out on the road question... I'll bet most real bike builders & fabricators, were laughing their a$$e$ off... I think it was a bunch of dweebs on the internet voting on a damn popularity contest, for a spoiled looser & yet another useless theme bike, it's his crew that does all the work anyway, not him, he's a damn premodonna "CAKE DECORATOR" & self proclaimed "designer"... LOL...

Those who ride know the posers, sell-outs, and all the rest. If I were to pick a builder who's **** I liked, it would be Russ Mitchell, at Exile Choppers. Before I came across my '53 chopper, I was looking at building a bike based on his series 200 tire, up front, and a 230 in the back.

I liked Paul Jr's bike I think it was original Jesse's looked like a walmart special as a matter of fact I think I saw them selling it at Kmart for $99.99 lol

Sr's trike / snow mobile was interesting but WTF? PJD all the way! and no I am not an internet dweeb who voted for a spoiled rich kid! lol hmm funny this is an internet site hmm....

I think I have seen maybe two one-off's on the road in 20 years of bike building. Man the hate for PJD you would think he stole the crown jewels or some thing jeez.

For $99.99 I'll take ten of them, thank you.
Jr's bike,,,, Well i would have to add on to the house with some more picture windows to display in front of, because that's all you'll ever be able to do with it!
It's not much of a Bike if you cant even ride the thing in my opinion.
Some of our cars we build could be called "trailer queens", but at least they are functional!
I don't get it????

I liked the detail of Jr's design the parts and pieces were in my opinion outstanding. There is a lot of opinions here and mine is just mine. I like James and his bikes and his wheels and his t-shirts etc. but in this one case jr.'s bike looks better for me. I don't care if it cant be rode. I don't care if it only holds an ounce of gas. The detail that went into the design is great, to have that in your head and then put it on paper and then have the parts carved out of raw material is genius. I should'nt have said kmart and walmart for Jesse but I have an opinion like everyone else if you don't get it then I'm sorry but don't call me out for my opinion.

No, No,,,, you must have miss understood me.
I wasn't calling you out..... What I dont get is how a "bike" build off can head down the path of a "theme bike build" that can't be used for anything besides looking at.
I'm certain Jr would most likely win on any given day for theme bike builds,,, "actualy his builders would".... But as far as just a plane ol build the best bike type build..... Jesse would smoke his butt every time.

If you watched both the show on the build off the fans had already voted 61% for Jr., 37% Jesse & 1% Sr., before they ever saw any of the bikes built, it was a popularity based internet voting contest, not a real bike builders contest... I want to qualify some of the statements I made in my earlier post & kind of explain why, I feel the way I do... JUST AN OPINION, You know I have watch American Chopper show from the start, like many of you I'm sure, I don't much care for anyone, who has a bad working attitude, bad work habits, bad work ethics, like Jr. has {or at least how he's portrayed on the reality show}... Jesse got out of bike building for a few years, after selling West Coast Choppers, I always have like the simplicity & style of his bike builds & the fact he does or can do, all of the management duties, in house CNC & machine work, welding, fabrication, sheet metal, engine builds, wiring, suspension, frames, design etc... I'm sure most of you know the story... Jr. has only been assembling bikes for maybe 10 years now, he still can't wire them, he has someone else build, buy & fabricate most all of the rest of the bikes, he can't build motors, he's not a mechanic, he doesn't do sheet metal or at least very rarely, except the gody crap like the web theme stuff, the wheels are delivered not done in house, {like Jesse & Sr.}, the suspension is delivered not done in house, he's a manager/assembler buyer really, not really a "bike builder", mainly an idea guy, witch has it's place for sure... Again Just In My Honest Opinion... I think his "Mustang p-51" themed bike for the "build off" is pretty cool, huge but pretty cool, but totally unusable, I just prefer a bike that can be ridden, just like cars, they need to be used for what they are intended for, not a "no go show boat" or "Trailer Queen" display type bike, like many of the theme bike builds were... Again just my opinion,I think he's riding on his father shirt tails, for most of his adult life, he self proclaimed, he didn't like motorcycles & didn't like fabrication work, now he's got his 20% of the multi-million dollar company his father started from scratch 20+ years ago, he knows nothing else to do to make money {he worked for his father in his Iron works co. pryer}, now he has his own shop & sees how hard it is to run people, make payroll, make a go of the business world, his tune has changed some, he's far more committed to his shop/craft then he was ever at OCC, now he needs to earn it himself instead of getting it handed to him, now maybe he will respect the trade his father gave him, literally, made him & his lazy a$$ brother Mikey a pretty damn good life... I have met both, Jesse & Sr. when in So Cal at the Roadster Show a few years ago, they were both pretty cool, neither was the on screen persona that they seem to portray, Jr. was very stand offish & unapproachable TV persona/star mentality it seemed... With out the show & his crew he would be still working for his dad a an assembler... AGAIN ALL THIS IS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, JUST AN OPINION

You are freaking killing me man, I can not stop laughing now. your political correctness is hysterical I am not that sensitive! lmao

But seriously I can see your view of Jr. My view is of a designer not a "builder" I like the design he came up with and whom ever put together I really don't care for me it is the design. and it's shinnny too!

That's funny me PC...LOL...

Me PC , I'm probably one of the most brutally honest people you will ever meet... Not very PC, I just speak my mind & be damned if people don't like it, I've never been accused of that before... That's funny..

I have often wondered how much of the end result of Jr's theme bike is actualy his idea.
I think I might have given him a little more credit than deserved on this.... I began running comments and events of the past shows through my mind, and realized something.... I always hear things from his mouth like, " why dont we have a cool front end made kinda like ;fill in the blank"? Then when it comes in from the "fabricators" I hear things like, "wow, they did a great job", "it's better than I imagined it would be", It will make a great piece for the bike and realy add to the overall look". I also hear things like "they realy hit this one out of the park". All of this indicates to me that he or they at PJD might be loosely stating an idea and relying on someone else to put it into something realistic, then sending it out for them to see what "they" have designed for PJD.... I see stickers on all of the main components from the actual manufactures that "BUILD" the components of the bike. This is a bike assemble off scenario... LOL!

I'm ole' skool. Ron Finch, Russ Mitchell, Billy Lane, Indian Larry build bikes! The Teutul Idiots just assemble them from catalogs and turn them into overpriced, billet laden, barges of vomit! No offense to the talents of their main fabricator, Rick. Or the hard work of Vinny. I have a 53 rigid that will be done this spring. It has a 73 shovel, front drum brake, +6 in the front forks, 18" apes, king/queen seat, neck is at about a 45 degree angle, kick-only, two-piece tank made into one, powder-coat black rims laced with stainless spokes by me! Waiting on the cash for the 3" open primary cause thats what it needs to look "right". The paint will be flat black, or maybe OD green from Hot Rod Flatz.

Your list is missing Master Fabricators Bob Monroe, Don Torte, Pete Kaiser & custom bike builders Arlen Ness & Jim Davis they were the $hit on the west coast NorCal any way, there's even some custom Duplicolor paints named after Arlen now, I know those guys from Nostalgia Fuel Dragster racing years back, all great builders of all things mechanical... Jim is gone now but Arlen, Bob & Arlen's boy Cory are still building very cool bikes & cars of all styles, not sure about Pete & Don what they are doing now....
