This little cruise night cream puff is a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner. 383 V9 with 4 BBL. 3.23:1 rear axle ratio. 3 speed A 727 torque flight transmission.

Details:

EB3 Ice Blue Poly Metalic Paint, white interior. Rally Gauges including tic toc tach. Bench Seats front and rear with front headrests. Chrysler "Airtemp" A/c from the Factory. Column shift. Rare combination, factory ordered by original owner, from Sacramento, CA. ONLY ONE FAMILY OWNED THIS CAR FROM DEC 69 TO MAY 00, when purchased by the present owner.

Car has been meticulously restored to current condition. Frame off restoration. All carefully documented (see photo of records and broadcast sheet).

Saw what looked like a beige Satellite at a used car lot in Texas a few years back. It was a 383 column auto 70 Road Runner. The saleman said he worked at the dealer when it was sold to a spinster teacher. She said she wanted a plain Belvedere and when told they had none pointed to the Road Runner and said "What about that one?". She drove it for 20 years and her kids sold it after she died. It was unrestored, complete with parking lot dings on the doors and a teacher parking permit on the windshield. The salesman said she never knew what it really was, just that it had "a lot of spunk".

Please, Please, no wing or hood paint!!!! No offense tpodwdog but so many people gaudy up an original car and for a purist like me, drilling holes into a virgin deck lid??? Ouch!!! A guy I knew had a number matching 36k mile FT6 Six Barrel, column shifted, Super Trak Pack, Air Grabber, original paint 1970 Road Runner bench seat hardtop with no hood paint and FT6 painted 15" steelies with Plymouth Division poverty caps. The original owner, I believe was a Temple professor in Philadelphia. He offered to me for $10k with a spun bearing several years ago. I offered him $7,500 but regret not ponying up the $2,500 and buying it because he sold it to someone in Western PA and they painted a survivor and added a wing and I think Dust Trails!!!! Please do it to a project but please not a cool car like this one. Once again, no offense to tpodwdog or anyone who adds things to cars but I am just one of those guys that loves to see an original stay original and a survivor, stay a survivor. Thanks for listening to a goof ball like me lol!
