Hi, I'm ordering some super stock leaf springs for my 63 Dodge 330 and will replace the current air shocks. Any recommendations for rear shocks for what will be street and some strip use? Do I need longer shocks than stock with the S/S springs? Thanks, Andrew

I use the MP longer shocks with my SS springs. Thats all I use is the SS springs and the longer shocks. Ron

I am frugal (cheap). Just install shocks for an Imperial per the old Direct Connection chassis manual. That's what I use. No issues whatsoever and you'll save some $$$.

Normal shocks are 23" long and you need 25" shocks...the ones I put on mine were from a station wagon and had 2" more travel on them.

I think you can use Ram truck shocks, too, if I remember correctly.

The Mopar SS Shocks Are No Longer Available Through Ma Mopar...However...They Substituted Comp Engineering 3-Way Adjustable Air Shocks For The Long Mopar Ones No Longer Available!

Summit are recommending the use of shock extensions to give another 3" of travel given they no longer sell the MP drag shocks - see link. I'm having difficulty finding station wagon or Imperial shocks that are 25" long so any suggestions appreciated. JEGs can supply drag shocks but their freight to New Zealand is a ripoff compared to Summit so they are a last resort right now. Anyone used the shock extensions- presume they just bolt to make top loop lower down? Thanks, Andrew

I sent an email to the guy that I got mine from, lets see what he has to say and if he has them available.

Measured eyelet center to eyelet center, they are 15.25 inches compressed, 25.10 inches extended. The shocks for standard spring vehicles measure 13.50 inches compressed, 22.40 inches extended.

I found them for you, if you want them PM me and I will give you the contact info.

From my supplier;

"I can be reached at ***-***-xxxx, I'm here every day until 7:00pm eastern time.

These are Gabriel brand, 1-3/16 inch piston displacement. I have 4 pairs in stock at this time."

Let me know if you need the info..
