So ours is broken / gone. What have folks done to find / make a new one?

I think the hose from my '86 F150 (302) that went from my water pump to intake manifold looked similar....

I'm not sure what your hose connects to but I replaced the vent hose on my 67 Belvedere wagon and the hose comes out of the tank does a 90 degree turn, goes thru the frame rail then runs up along the fill neck tube. Anyway, to make the 90 degree turn I used a 1/2" plastic/neoprene elbow. The elbow that I used is white in color and it is used to put plastic pipe/water lines together. The elbow has ribs or barbs on the ends to help keep the connections tight. I filed the barbs/ribs off and used hose clamps to secure the vent hose to the plastic/neoprene elbow. I do have a few pictures I can post,,,,,as soon as the camera charges, sigh. Hope this helps. Rick

OK here is the stuff. Cut and paste off the 66-67 Charger site.

2" 90 Elbow fuel hose Goodyear # 59207. Crown automotive line that has 2 90 bends for the vent lines P/n 5357971 also cut down. Total cost $25-$30 vs $80 for the ebay sets.

Links to the hoses. You might be able to find them local. Both hoses need to be cut to fit.

Summit has the 2" fill hose.

Vent hose fits 1978 to 1986 CJ Jeeps.

Yogi's rod parts also sells angled fuel grade hoses in various lengths, diameters and angles.

last I checked, the 2" 90* was $18.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Yes, '67 B Body. Vent hose that makes 90° bend out of gas tank, through frame rail and connects to line on filler neck. Guessing I'd say 5/8" diameter, but could be 1/2" . I can get pics tomorrow.

Bink220, I thought about plastic thanks. That'll be plan B.

I'll check out the rest of the sites. Thanks again.

EDIT - The Summit link lead me to this:

I think I'll be able to find a molded heater bypass hose that will work. One idea leads to the next. :) Thanks all!!

I would consider changeing it out to fuel grade hose before it melts and makes a mess of you're fuel system.
The by pass hoses are for coolant and won't last long either. I would use a brass elbow from a hardware store with 2 male nipples on each end and some fuel grade hose... another way around it is to stuff a spring the same diameter as the hose so it doesn't collapse like a lower radiator hose. Just can't use non fuel hose.

I'll try it and see.

Edit- Shiza! Looks like you are right. Thanks for the warning.

Dangit, where to find a 3/4" 90° molded fuel rated hose?

Search for hose p/n 5357971. Fits 1978 to 1986 CJ Jeeps.

I called my local O'reillys and they do not list the vent hose and can not cross reference the part number. I did get the 2" hose from O'reillys.

Napa could not cross the number or look it up by application.

Thanks Gpuller for the part#. I just order one on ebay for $16.73 with free shipping. I was using a ford bypass hose, it started leaking last week. Also thanks Zancat for starting the thread!
