So im at the pump today filling up my 1970 Superbee I see this guy stairing at the car not a big deal it happens all the time. So he starts walking over and takes a walk around the car note that there is a large decal on the back that says superbee. So he says what years your charger I said its a superbee he looks at me like i had 2 heads for a second and said oh sorry what years your roadrunner I told him a roadrunner is a plymouth this is a dodge. Guy just walked away I don't know if he was messing with me or just clueless but either way I had a good laugh.

I get that ALL the time at the car shows here ....It bugs the hell out of me when I hear people say " oh look at that charger r/t" ....

Why? At least they're looking at it. Also a chance to educate them if they're interested...

I got it all the time with my Challenger with 'nice Camaro' etc. Used to just ask since when did Camaro have an 'h' in it or an 'l' not to mention an 'e' or an 'r' and should I go on lol

I get pissed cause it usually a Smart **** kid that's trying to act like he knows it all with his buddies or girlfriend ....I have a plaque in it that says what it is

Heck I watched a guy at a recent car show as a guy about his Charger. It was a 2014 Challenger. Non car people are clueless.

Back when I was still in Oz, some guy tried to tell me my '70 VG Coupe (Dodge Dart to you US folk), was a FORD Valiant!

I threw up a bit in my mouth..then ignored him..

<<<<<See my avatar. There are plenty of people that call it a Charger. Even after I correct them... I don't really mind until the "Paint it orange and put 01 on the door **** starts.....

Anything with a "fastback" and a "coke bottle shape" is a "Charger". I was towing my just painted '69 Shelby GT350 shell and was stopped by a woman in a rest stop to compliment me on my "Charger".

I said "why, thank you!"

Well I had young girl ask me if my 63 Sport Fury was a Mustang ? !!!! I said how in the heck can you think my car looks like a Mustang ?? Then I had a good laugh. I even had a Mopar owner come up to me and say.................... so you have a Hemi in it when it says right on the scoop.......426 Max Wedge. So I had to tell him how Mopar had a 426 wedge before the 426 Hemi. Then I watched him get in his Mopar. LoL ! Ron

Another dash sign....

Had a guy ask " What's the difference between a GTX & a GTO?" After 'splaining to him the difference, my wife decided to make a sign for the dash that says :

It's a GTX, not a GTO or a Roadrunner!

My now 19 year old son now has my 1973 Road Runner. He complains that the kids nowadays only know about Camaro and Mustang. They think anything old is one of the two - they seem to have no idea about the other models. He is explaining what his car is all the time.

stupidity-test.jpg Maybe this will help.

I quit 'splaining' and just laugh :D

The question I get all the time with the Daytona is "What year is your SuperBee?"

I live in a small town and have had a coronet r/t for 34 years. People ask me "you still got your roadrunner" I say yup! (at least they are not calling it a cramarrow or moosestang)

I correct people all the time and I enjoy the fact that 1. they enjoy old cars and 2. Had the guts to ask even if they're wrong. I think before I got into Mopars I didn't know there was a Super Bee Charger variant. yes it's in big letters but a bit confusing. I also wouldn't have known the difference between a Max Wedge and a Hemi. I guess it's all in how you deal with people.

One young guy at a gas station asked me if my GTX had a 4 or a 6 in it. I said a 6. Wow was his answer.
