I thought I was prepping my back glass for the glass guy tonight. I used a green scubby pad and lightly washed it with soap and water to get the tree residue off. In day light you couldn't see any scratches. Under florescent lights, you can see where I scratched it on both sides..... Live and learn.... DONT EVER USE A GREEN SCUBBY PAD on glass.

Must be tinted and very very clean.

Have you thought about looking into a glass polishing kit? It may be worth the gamble vice buying a whole new piece.
