I'd like to remind everyone to please keep the commentary (no matter how well intentioned) out of the for sale posts. Relevant questions only please.

Commentary in what sense? Isn't a "forum" to discuss and chat about a post? If it was about what I think might purchase it, I removed that part.

Just want to remind everyone that someone's phone number area code has absolutely nothing to do with where they live now. I for one am a resident of Washington, my car is registered in California, I have a Mississippi driver's license, and I currently live in Illinois. Oh yeah, my phone number is from CA too.

As I continue to look for a car to buy (just missed out on one recently :sad10:) I every now and then come across someone who questions me why my area code doesn't match where I live :argue:

It is not a hemi but advertised as such.

I think they're talking about the trans only

I will always defend that a forum is to discuss a post, but the rules simply state no commentary in the for sale section. Maybe start a thread about this car in the general section?

I can understand no commentary allowed on a for sale post by a forum member. But, Rustymopar posted a link to a car for sale on Ebay and he clearly said it was not his. I would think that the nature of the forum would invite discussion, ie comments, on a car in the marketplace, it's pluses and minuses and members' opinions. Comment's of this type, in this type of situation, doesn't violate the spirit of the forum's rules, IMHO.

I completely agree with what your saying, but the rules of the for sale forum is no commentary. Perhaps if one wants to post a link to a car for sale maybe it should be posted in the general discussion section. That way it can be discussed until the sun comes up.

sssshhhhhhh
the staff members will delete your comments.
cant say anything anymore.

Can we put a vote button to lift/remove the "No discussion" rule on the for sale forum? A slong as its not derogatory towards the seller or car if LISTED by the seller.

must have been moved

did I miss something ??
this is in the general discussion forum

Yep. We all are. What part of "Commentary is NOT allowed in For Sale forums. Relevant questions ONLY! " don't people understand?

Just doing my job sir!
