Actually I have been able to save quite a bit up since bunkin' back in with my Brother. So...I have booked an appointment on the 24th of this month to get my headliner installed and the interior finished up. I have new door panels that I will finish up doing with the rest of the interior. But the headliner job, albeit something I could eventually do myself, I want it done quickly and the shop is the quickest and probably the most efficient way to go. Sound deading is in place throughout the car and once the headliner pad and headliner is installed I will have a really nice and quiet ride. I will enjoy that while listening to my custom radio delete stereo system. It uses only my iPhone or MP3 players that I have just about every record/album and song ever produced to listen to. The process will also include removal of the old original windshield and a new one installed. The old trim clips will be replaced at that time as well. Figured I might as well "get er dome" this Spring so that I can enjoy it more and hit more of the cruises in this area. First big show for the '66 Plymouth Satellite will mos likely be the CMC MOPAR show in Sacramento. I will still need to job out my door hinge replacement/swap as I don't have room to do that task but my Body shop will do it for Labor rate only which for me is 70.00/hour. I definitely will have pics up throughout the process for all to enjoy.

The final task will be to swap out my 14 inch Magnum Road Wheels with 15's that I have just purchased. Tire size will be equal all around at 245 60 15's and will assuredly be BFG's Radial T/A's. What do you all think of the wheel tire choice?...cr8crshr/Tuck

I personally LOVE the Magnum road wheels...
The Magnum 500s correct?

Tires huh?
I'm seeing fewer and fewer suppliers of Muscle Car tires out there...
Without going into a Coker REPRO tire.

The BFGs are a great choice.
Got them on the 70 Bee.

But: I also like the Cooper Cobra tire for a muscle car now.

Did you guys know:
1. No more Firestone muscle car tires?
2. No more Bridgestone?
Many manufacturers are concentrating on the LOW PROFILE style now.
Something to think about.

Good to see/hear your Satty is going to be finished soon,
T/A's are a good choice, I've had them on most my street cars for decades now

good luck & enjoy
Happy Moparing

Too much money, Tuck?.......want my address? I'll help ya! :headbang:

Magnums and BFG T/A's ...can't go wrong!

Hell!!!! Never enough money. Isn't that always the case? So do you all think that size tire is a good choice for the Magnum 500's??? cr8crshr/Tuck

Hi Tuck,

I love the Magnum 500's (will be doing the same on my car) and BFGs. For 245s, you should probably have 8" wide rims (and not 7). Rule of thumb I heard is that ideally the rim width should be within 1" of the tire sector width. That doesn't mean it won't work other ways. I have had 275/60s on my 15 x 8 Ralley rims on my 73 Road Runner. However, they do wear a little bit more in the center due to the tires bulging out some from the smallish rim. 15 x 9 or 10 would be better...

Hey Load, looking forward to seeing you drivin around finally. Next year you will have to make Spring Fling!

Forget all that!! Just buy my 66 HEMI Charger. I'll even deliver it with a full tank of gas (like that tank will last - haha).

I'm thinkin' you should spend that money on airfare for TeK to come to your place and give you a big hug!:hello2:

What did you use on the interior roof for soundproofing. Pics? Who is doing the job?

You know what? That right there is all the more reason I quit over there and will hang out here with you Satman. You always make it all more better. Like minds though do think alike now don't they???? Tuck:headbang:

Dennis I went with the sound deadner/insulation that is available from Lowes. It is in their insulation section and comes in rolls. A much better price than Dyna-mat costs. Used 3M adhesive in spray can and pretty much covered the interior of the car with it. Still have the doors and rear seat sides to put some up but for the most part it is all in. Pics will be up in a day or 2 of the roof install of the deadner before I take it to the shop...Tuck

Hopefully there isn't any Aussie Roo on the menu. That meat always leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. But with a cold Molson's I can always be persuaded...Tuck
