Hi Guy's

I got an 68 Charger which does not ( rusted out) have trunk floor pan. As I found out there are 2 types ( with small difference) - early and late model trunk floor pan.
Fender tag is lost and build sheet is faded out. Is there a way to get this info about is it ( my Charger) an early or an late model ? I would like to put an proper trunk floor.

Best Regards,

Ed

Ive never heard of that or seen charger trunk floors advertised as early or late build. Where are you seeing this?

As one of the last post's links (the first one) states it is for an "early" '68, and the other link for a "late" 68-70 I would go with the "early" '68. The late '68 may refer to the actual production of the '69's, which was in "late" 1968. Just my $0.02 (as I have never heard of different '68 trunk floors).

Some of the real early Chargers had funky vertical taillight brackets & the underskin of the decklid was "skeletal, much like the underskin of the hood. Of course, the fender tag will give the build date.

Take a couple pictures.

What's the VIN? that will help you determine approximately when, and where, the car was built.
