I am in the process of removing my brake booster and I have everything removed except for the bolt that goes through the brake pedal. I have removed the cotter pin but don't seem to have enough room to get the bolt out. I hope I don't need to take the whole pedal assembly out. Please help I have included a picture of the "bolt" in question

Yeah... that bolt is in there without much room to spare. I remember dealing with that a couple years ago on my '70. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I "think" what I did was just loosen/remove the linkage and/or loosen up the bolt holding the brake pedal a lot....can't remember exactly, but in the end you basically create enough "slop" that you can sort of twist the pedal over and just barely wedge the bolt head in sort of sideways to get the head of the bolt past the misc. brackets and slip it in. I definitely remember angling the bolt and "just barely" being able to wiggle it in there. It took a lot of patience, but it will fit....just barely.

Ok thanks I'll have to try that. It's a real pain for sure. I took out the steering column already just for my sanity. I'll get back at it tomorrow, it was getting to the point I was getting real agitated so I stopped

Isn't there an open hole on the side? I did my 66 Satellite IF I remember you could get it out but had to dick around a little.

the bracket has a channel of sorts to clear the head.

IIRC you have to have the pedal part way through the travel for it to align.
