Graveyard cars once again.....

I would be willing to bet he uses "google" and his mopar books so he is all prepared to talk about his "knowledge of cars" in the following segment of the show. After all it is his show and it makes him look super smart in the Mopar world. Not saying he doesn't know Mopar stuff but.......

Wow 5 pages...and all I said was Allysa had become porky! Leave it to us Mopar guys to take everything to the nth degree! Rather a polarizing topic at best....

As i said we had a member who had Welby's do his car and he said MW is not like the fooling around we see on TV, in other words its a ACT. When i read up more about GYC and how it originated it became clearly that MK is a smart business man. He owns GYC and the production company that produces it. Id guess he feels the way he produces his show makes it appealing to more folks. I like many of you dont care for the antics and rarely watch it. I dont split hairs on the OE restoration thing as its out of my league but i respect what some of you say regarding that matter. Id think Welby's auto care does top notch restorations, would i send my car across the country if say i stumbled over a pot of money? Probably not. Id go see Dennis Kohrs at Kohrs Kustom's first
Ah HAA--at last! Something I agree with you 100% on Steve. I won't participate in " put down " posts----unless it is about a politician ! or XXXL ego, or etc. etc. etc........................................MO

When you spend 30-40k for just an OE paint job...The owner has two options original single stage enamel or two stage basecoat clearcoat.....The majority go with the one that has added protection properties...For the money vested it is a no brainer..In the gold judging arena one is not docked for using 2 stage. So they still do the sloppy OE paint jobs but have added protection...
So---can't you do a Urathane paint job with orange peel and a run or two in it? I do remember the paint on my new 68 Roadrunner...................................MO

My X is urethane base and clear for the bodycolor...So yes you can do everything....

OEM Enamel paint jobs from the factory have a lot of defects and orange peel when the shops do them they wet sand them to glass finishes after market paint jobs people expect a better finish , when people buy a car from the factory they tend to accept there paint ,the factory isn't going to have a dealer make it a show finish ,even though some people bitch worked years at a Cadillac dealer and for a Benz dealer
Can't remember now if my 68 had enamel or laquer. I thought it was laquer..............................MO

Yes I did from 1975 when I started with a small truck and crawler-loader, until about 2009. Nearly 30 years driving truck and pup grossing 80,000 lb. I don't miss it one dam bit !!.......................................MO

Watched GYC where Mark was assembling a 440. He was slopping on sealer on gasket to mount oil pump. Looked like sealer went gallery supply hole. I didn't use sealer on that gasket, no leaks. The block looked like crap paint not cleaned off outside and was de-laminating. Timing cover around seal looked like it had crap in the area.

Too much sealer will also make the gasket squirm and leak....Slopping it on like he did just shows how sloppy overall he is....The block cleaning looked like SH##...

I love when he mentioned the "correct" fastener for the oil pump. That fastener is NOT correct the original had an "H" head. Those bolt kits are close on some and some are not even close. This is where the uneducated audience buys into these statements....

Dave is the only one there that knows his sh## and how to install parts....I would rather watch a whole episode of Dave and his walk throughs......

Yup Dave is pretty damn good, he posts some behind the scenes off camera install and walkthroughs on his Instagram account, good stuff.

Anyone got any pictures to show how much she's porked up?
This is the latest picture that I could find:

MW's daughter is a beautiful young lady. Late last night when i finally sat down to relax GYC was playing, it must have been a older re run. There was a segment were MW has a "paint off" with the young man who does the painting. It ran to long and was dumb and not entertaining. I give Mr W a lot of respect as a business man and body shop owner but myself i cant take theses antics and so i switched over to the Animal Planet
