I really am worried about a bunch of folks out there. I'm waiting to see how this sanctuary-area ****, plays-out with wanting government assistance.

This may sound weird, but the first and second pictures look kind of pretty although we all know that the fires are wreaking is devastation. The last picture...not so much.

That's some pretty nasty stuff...hope everyone stays safe out there!

Bummer about that Cuda. A lot of that nastyness is very near where all the Spring Fling activities take place. If you have seen the videos of cars driving on the freeway with the hills on fire all around, that is a few miles farther down the freeway from Van Nuys.

Last I heard CA was still part of the USA regardless of ******* political stances anyone has. There are fellow USA folks out there, their kids, their relatives, their friends who sadly are in grave danger some losing everything they have. I don't think it's a great posture to say let it burn because we happen to have differences with ******* political views.
Yep! .....Who are sadly in great danger of losing everything,, including Their lives & Family members lives. How about the Ones putting Their lives on the line fighting these fires A-100? This isn't a situation to be so vitriolically broad brushed.

Prayers go out to everyone involved. Rather have to deal with a hurricane than any fire.....

My best well wishes goes out to all my southern brethren
this stuff really sucks, no matter what
some butt-hurt bitter hater douchebag thinks
we Are Americans, many are conservatives & many are real true patriots
not some transplant from somewhere else & have served honorably
& now have lost everything...

Some people have no heart, no couth or class at all,
kicking someone while they are down &/or suffering
needlessly, only because they can't hack it or afford it here...
We are now a better state without them too...

SoCal you have my deepest sympathies &
I hope for the best the winds die down & the fires
all get put out as fast as possible, the good people
all stay safe & the 1st responders :thankyou: do too...

More than 116,000 acres consumed, 200,000 People displaced from homes, now a new color, purple, has been added to fire danger color coded scale,,, wind gusts approaching 100 mph, fire crept into Orange Co.
I'm in Riverside Co. The wind is pretty intense here.

Sooooooooooooooooooo, Do we know how this **** started, or is that to Political to ask?

It started in Santa Paula
you can always look it up on Google or what ever
the **** search engine you prefer, search for yourself...

I haven't seen any credited blame for the origin/start of the fire yet

I saw one that said lightning & another that said that was wrong
it was human caused but don't say who or what
CalFire website is a good source too...

SoCal Fires Dec. 2017 started in Santa Paula.png

5 different fires on convergent path. No talk of arson yet.

Damn, that map shows almost the entire Ventura county burning/burned! I see smoke from a new fire further south off the 15 in Temecula that started in the past few hours, hopefully they can get that one contained before it grows into something bigger. Hope everyone up north gets somewhere safe, Santa Ana winds are expected through Saturday.

I'm only 20 mins from Temecula just off the 215. I read that the Thomas fire is the size of Denver an hour ago.

Yeah, it's amazing that the press is keepin quiet on what caused it. Maybe it was moonbeam trying to get another handout? Wouldn't surprise me if that's true.

I'd like the site admin to offer an explanation as he evidently didn't comprehend my posting...

Could be terrorists & authorities being tight lipped to quell panic. Bad coincidence that it's December 7?

Hmmmmm makes you wonder, not living in that area, and when I did it was in San Diego back in the early 90s. For those that reside in CA is this kind of fire pattern a regular occurrence eg: fires being spaced out like whats shown on the map? I've heard of Santa Ana winds being pretty horrific at times. Listening to the news that 200k people are on the move to me that is a serious fire(s). I can't remember the last time that many people fleeing an area. If some could educate me I would appreciate it. As a first responder , I pray that no one gets hurt
