Just watched first episode of this years season. About the only thing I found of note is that the blonde has gained weight! Besides that show is the same crap. Sigh....

if they kept on the subject and gave valuable info on the history and options the cars came with it was good and it seems he(mark) knows his mopars but the stupid gags and name calling plus his little dancing and face making gags me id rather watch utube frieberger and finagan

For those who don't watch the show frequently like myself, I don't understand these contradictory statements like the quote above. Is Mark knowledgeable and shares his wisdom and experience on the show, or is he providing false/incorrect information? He can't be both.

Yes... it can. He manages to pull it off. Sometimes he's right, sometimes he's wrong.

Work Completed: New anti-roll bar, strut rods, upper and lower control arms, lowering springs, polyurethane suspension bushings, and brakes. New ceramic coated exhaust system, electronic distributor, HT leads, spark plugs, ram air kit, and carburettor jets; power restored from 186 bhp to 224 bhp. Interior refurbished with black/red leather and alcantara trim. Front grille and headlamp trim replaced with 1972-era parts. New 17″ wheels and tyres. Exterior paint polished with red pin stripes added.

Yes, I do agree. But I thought maybe it was an old episode. It was the one about the General Lee, right? Surprised to see and hear mention of the goof balls that got canned. Mark was almost likable ...............................MO

It was definitely the best episode of the season. It had less of the BS. That show is at its best when it sticks to the cars and the builds. The non-car stuff in this episode seemed a little more genuine, like when he was telling stories about his cousin borrowing his car for a date. It seemed like two old buddies working on an engine and giving each other some crap from their past. Something we call can relate to.

I like watching it whether MW is doing stupid stuff on camera or not. It is a show about Mopars for cripes sake!
With that said, I was a little miffed as they were putting that 340 block together. Did they measure any clearances on the piston / valves? Did they measure the pushrods? And it looked like the valvetrain went together dry. They could have done this prior but it would be nice if they explained the process if they did.

Agreed. I think talking about piston to valve clearance or pushrod length would have been more educational than explaining why the 1/2" drive socket couldn't be used to torque down the head bolts. Even so, it was better than a segment showing Will and the weird guy going on a road trip to pick up MW's car from the dealer. Had to fast forward through that stuff.

physically didn't fit when accessing the upper row of head bolts. looked like interference with head casting in the valve area. I zoned out to be honest.
