There is a orange wire hanging at the bottom of the dash of my dads 62 polara. Its around the fuse block. It Ys off into 2 wires, one has a male end & the other has a female end. Now on the 67s 68s & 69s mopars that ive worked on the orange wires behind the dash go to the dash lights. Im not sure where these go

Yes, orange are lights.

The one goes to the instrument panel lights, the other looks like it would go to the light in the radio.

Looking in the factory service manual, page 7-80 and 7-81 it's showing a second orange wire going to the radio. Check the orange wire on your radio for which type connector for which wire end.

All the lights in the dash work. Not sure about the radio. Do the push buttons for the heater controls & trany light up ?

Could be the heater control bulb and radio. I know the one is radio. There should be the other half of the plug along the bottom of the dash.
Do you have a service manual?

I was hoping you had one. It's quite plain to see in the manual what's what. Your orange wire from the fuse block goes to the instrument cluster bulbs, it splits not far from the fuse block with the one lead going to the radio for the radio's bulb.

A tan wire, coming from the headlight switch, supplies the one side of the fuse. The other side of the fuse is the orange going to the instrument lights and radio. The fuse is marked (inst. 2amp)

Here's a link to a wireing schematic but it doesn't show a second orange going to a radio like the FSM does.
