So I'm a jeep nerd lol, I love all of them. So we traded the wifes 75th patriot in for a 2016 jku Sahara. I've always loved the trucks, commandos, and wagoneers but was never a wrangler fan. I actually prefer internationals to cjs. But we've had the jku almost 3 weeks and I've flipped half my shop around to hoist the hardtop hang doors and the freedom panels. Now I'm doing a complete remodel out there just for it. I can honestly say our family has never had so much fun driving around, foot out the door, top off, Torin my 2 year old loves it, she actually says "no doors daddy". But the satellite is still in pieces.
Anyway just wanted to rant, any other jeepers out there? By the way my daily is a 96 Cherokee sport 5" lift, 31" MTRs, subs, rust and NRA stickers lol

Stayed late at work tonight to put a radiator in my '96 5-speed Cherokee so we could tow the boat out to the lake tomorrow. Past few years have had a '97 and a '94 2-door Cherokee's. All 4 litre, 4wd. Also have my sister's rust free '00 at my shop as someone backed into it as it sat in street. Insurance totaled it ! Needs a fender and bumper. Love them Cherokee Sport's, can't afford Wrangler's !! Lol.

I'm a Cherokee guy, daily drive a 99 xj, rust free, 4wd, just hit 136k ... 2.5" lift, 31x10.50r15 .... been planning on 4.10 swap or 4.56 and 33's .. can't decide !

We bought my wife hers last year! 2013 Sahara. She loves it. And I’ve come around to really really enjoying it. No doors and no top is the best! Can’t find the more recent pictures. This is it the day we took it home last April.

I spent 32 years working the assembly line there. Just celebrated 12 years of retirement from Jeep. Sorry no pics but I have a 87 Comanche long bed, 4.0 4x4 that I made into a dump truck.

Just sold my 07 Wrangler :(
For the first time in 44 years I'm Jeepless.
I have to say, i enjoyed the 07 the least.
Only for the the 6 spd, gears mismatched? Otherwise loved it
Looking for older one now, my 94 with the 4.0 5spd was the best vehicle I've ever owned.

The problem with that generation of wranglers is the engine, way under powered 3.8 out of the vans. Those could've benefited from different gearing from the factory ...

True, for me it was the trans:
1st too low, 2nd too high, 3rd, 4th & 5th ok, 6th too high. Not enough hp & Tq to keep up in 6th. Maybe just me, but a jeep isn't a jeep unless it's a standard trans.
(Wranglers that is)

My buddy is a huge Jeeper. His dad (RIP) was one of the original guys that started the Jamboree

Scramblers are big money right now.

The 4.0 belongs in the top American engine designs of all time.

About 3 months ago, there was a CL ad for a "rarest jeep ever made" CJ7 Jamboree edition, 1982? IIRC. 1 of 690 IIRC.

I was very tempted. $3500. needed paint and engine was out and tore apart. Body looked pretty good. Had most hard to find Jambree specific parts except tire cover.

Any CJ7 is hot right now too.

Also found a supposedly rebuilt 4.2 for $650.

I was not to happy when the four doors came around but now, love the look. I have been pushing my wife to get one. Doors off top down is the only way to go!
There is a place on The Outer Bank here in NC where you can rent jeeps and take them on the beach. My reservations are in September, hopefully after I take her out in one she will want one.

one of the rarest that I know of is the 1970 “ hurst edition” . Only 100 made with v6 4 speed and had the same hood scoop as the “Rebel Machine” with tach in the scoop.

If you let her drive she will, that all it took to convince mine

Do the 3rd row seat upgrade. Terraflex 3rd row brackets + jk/2dr backseat.

Early nineties I picked up an 86 Cherokee 2door, 2wd (I know not s real Jeep, according to some) with the Chevy 2.8 v6 in it. It was black with pro stars and big Yokohama mud diggers tires. I put the Yoko’s on some stock Jeep rims in the winters and drove through 6-10inches of snow easily. I still miss that Cherokee. Definitely would have turned it into a 4 wheeler in I still had it.
