My ride height might be off. I think I measured the wrong points previously and now I'm all turned around and confused. The Service Manual photo is less than crystal clear. This may be ridiculously easy, but can somebody point on a photo and show me where I should be measuring?
For the life of me, "adjusting blade" isn't matching anything I see.

You have got to read the instructions.
I'll clarify--using the "instructions," I'm having trouble determining where exactly the bottom of the adjusting blade is and the instruction photo isn't helping.

** Where is the A measurement? That is the bottom of what?

Where you're turning the bolt head. It's the curvature of the adjuster.
So, it’s the bottom of the lower control arm in the middle, where the height adjusting bolt passes through?

No, no, no. It's the adjuster. Look at the photo, it's perfectly clear.

Here? The bottom of the pivot shaft housing (for lack of a better term)?
Not the best arrow—bear with me.

Kinda,,, the movable blade close to ur arrow( adjuster bolt touches the outboard end of it).

That’s ur measurement point per the FSM.

Guess I learned something today, I just adjusted mine to my liking and made them match lol.

I’m gonna smack you Sat in Columbus!! Lol
Take it easy on me big fella, I'm just a little guy but I am bringing a Sasquatch with me lol. In my defense my car is lowered 2" so the FSM adjustments don't apply.

Bingo ! You measure the distance from the lowest point to the floor. Measure the lowest point of the steering arm/lower ball joint. Subtract the difference, will be your ride height t. I like 1 7/8".
The term “adjusting blade” had both me and my dad—who has farmed 50 years & seen a lot of repair manuals—perplexed. I figure somebody past/present/future had to be in the same spot & posted this.
You raise another question:
The repair manual Figure 2 photo shows the B measurement at the point of the knuckle directly below the lower ball joint, whereas the written instructions indicate “lowest point of steering knuckle arm” which would indicate the point where it meets the tie rod end. The height difference between those two points is considerable.
I’m leaning toward the written instruction.

I go low spot of ball joint. (Not grease fitting)

I’m adjusting ride height as well...so I understand the difference btw the the two should be
1 7/8” .

Short story from 2 yrs ago on my alignment. Both places had drive-on frt end racks, 1st place after driving on said he couldn’t set ride height because of ramp being in the way(???). So I went to 2nd- he said no problem, knew how to do it. Let him take on test drive after he was done(big smile!). Both were older(50+), guess the first just didn’t want the hassle. Oh well.
