I was at Summit Racing about a mouth ago and they had some 4ft LED fixtures displayed. Very nice and bright. Don't remember the price.

I just got back from a religious retreat in Wilmington NY. I contacted another electrician before I left a week ago, because the first one would not return my phone calls after coming out to give me an estimate. The second one came out the same day I called him. I really thought we connected well. He has not gotten back to me. What's up with these guys? Don't they want to make some money? I don't get it? I m paying cash! Right now I am one month behind waiting for them. I am going to move ahead and put boxes in and pull wire and hope that I find a certified electrician willing to make all the connections and finish this job! This is frustrating! UHGGGG!

Are you held back by local codes from just doing it yourself? Wiring is one of the easiest jobs on a build, just need to know amps needed, pick the right breaker then size the wire correctly.. the rest is just being neat and routing it in safe locations. I feel your frustration, being held up by contractors can be very frustrating.

Yes. The work has to be done by a certified electrician and inspected. I know this is just the towns way of making more money on our backs! I can and have done wiring myself in the past with no problem. I just did not share that with anyone. But this has to be inspected since I took out a legit permit to build it.

The electrician finally showed up. I went with the High Bay led lights from Home Depot. They make it look like day time at midnight. They push out 18,000 lum. and were $99.00 each. I used 6 of them and I am very pleased with the results.
