I was at the Winternationals today, till it rained out, and wandered into the mopar booth in the manufacturers midway. On display, among others was a srt 1320 with a placard stating " starting at $ 39, 995". Ok. I can believe that. You'll never find one for that, but I can believe that might be the base price.
Two cars over was a redeye. The placard said " 2019 hellcat redeye, starting at $59,995" . Really?! I find that VERY hard to believe!! I know none will ever sell for anywhere near that. No increase in sticker from a 2015 hellcat? Who is kidding who?
Is mopar just yanking our chain, or will a redeye actually be available for something near that price?

If I could touch one for that price I'd jump...

Was there an gastric saying anything like shipping and dealer mark up?

Well, there sure wasn't an actual window sticker on the car on display.
Nice new color, by the way. Very purple-ish blue, or blue-ish purple.

The 2019 Hellcat will start in that range.

The Redeye with all of it's options comes in around 88 thousand.
That sounds much more believable. Since I don't particularly like the wide body look, and $28,000 seams high for 90 hp, I know what I will look for.

Did the color look like this?? Pics never do justice but this is "Blue Pearl Coat" on a 2013 Charger Daytona. Have never seen it offered since. It can look purple-ish in overcast/not direct sunlight. It changes with the type of light.

Local dealership had a SRT something on display last year and "ONLY $68,000" on the window in huge print.

ONLY $68,000

My 2012 Challenger is a nice blue and have had people call it a shade of purple. There is no purple hue to it what so ever. It is called blue streak pearl.

The color was darker than the pictures in this thread. It was more of a plum crazy with a blue pearl coat,

MSRP. Manufacture's Suggested Retail Price. Just like the Price is Right ! Till the dealer gets a hold of one. $$$$$
In Vegas the dealers scalp customers with tons of added charges even on the cheapest new cars.

handling fees
dealer markups
inventory surcharges/flooring costs
dealer prep/safety inspections
any options or dealer installed equipment
extra keys, key fobs, alarms, floor-mats, paint sealer
detailing, finance charges that are on-top of interest.
even the real 'going market value' etc. etc. etc
(they don't/aren't gonna' give them away, they know what the bring)

it all goes up from the base/suggested retial
is just the starting point/min.

some of the pricing depends on the state/country
or even the city/county you're in too

Well, if maybe the demand is huge for a redeye, a regular hellcat can be bought for a good price.
I don't much care for the wide body look anyway.

Was in business for 35yrs.,makes no difference
where you live as long as continental US.
Destination charges are the same, dealer prep
is probably different depending on the dealer.
Manufacturer pricing is the same unless not
in country.
Shipping is averaged so the same, doesn't
Make any difference if you live across the
street from plant or not.
