The company I work at has been around since 1869, we use lots of fractions and decimals, all in the standard system.

It doesn't take long to get used to adding and subtracting fractions, as well as converting back & forth from decimals.

At this point, I think the old Standard system is part of our identity as Americans. With the world becoming more & more globalized these days, I feel like we should embrace these quirks that make our country a little "different".
