Just got under coating off and wire wheel and sanded under floor pans . What's the best stuff to remove residue before paint . Have wax and grease remover but not be tough enough to remove residue . Thanks
 
On bare metal I use TSP. USE as directed then use wax and grease remover and tack cloth before painting.

Purple Power works good.
 
Fuel oil then your grease and wax remover.
 
I used Gunk engine degreaser to get all of the tar residue off, and then sprayed
Purple Power degreaser to get everything squeaky clean and then pressure washed it.
a little scotch-Brite and you're ready for paint.
