A woman at my church who lost her husband about two years ago asked me for some help on selling there 56 dodge. It was restored in 1995 and she has reseats for over 22 grand. It has been sitting for the last two years so there maybe some issues with getting it running again. It has just over 65 thousand miles total before and after restoration. I am a body man and do lots of restorations, I did not do this car but looking it over close I can not find any signs of rust coming back or even signs of body work. The body is in nice shape it is a rubbed out paint job. The interior has a couple issues, there is a mouse hole in the headliner and in the middle of the rear seat back. Do not know what it's worth if any body has idea would love to hear. And if your interested I can get more pictures or find the answers to any questions.

Cool car.
Some more info would help.
Are you in Iowa?

What size is the little hemi ?

My .02 worth. It's a 315 poly as stated, not a hemi. I had one years ago, tri tone(white top, black middle, sea foam green bottom), 4dr straight stick, dealer installed duals. I'd bet the mouse hole is above the sunvisor. Trick is when storing a car, turn the visor down, the mouse doesn't have a place to sit and chew.

Yes the car is in northern Iowa. looks like the 315 was standard, as I said I don't know this car so don't know if there were other options I will try to find out. It is a push button automatic. Those are the original colors. Thanks for price guide sites I will try calling her tonight and see if we can get a price set. Thanks

Just got off the phone with the lady who owns the car she would like to get 18,000. She lost her husband very suddenly, he was trampled by a steer they were raising, so she has had a lot of stuff to deal with. I think she feels bad that she let a mouse get in her husbands car as there was mouse bait at every corner and inside the car now. she knows she just can't take care of the car properly and would like to see some one put some TLC back in to the car.

I am pretty sure she would take offers.

That Polyspherical engine in your '56 Dodge, is 270 cubic inches, with 175 hp and 240 pounds of torque; 2-bbl carburetor...

'55 was 270; could get it either way. Standard poly heads or hemi head. '56 was 315. Also either way. I have my dad's '55 Coronet, 2 tone blue, 270 with overdrive. All original. I had a '55 Custom Royal Lancer, 3 tone(white, black, heather rose), 270 hemi auto on dash. My '56 was 315, standard poly head, 3spd, wcfb, and dealer installed duals.
