Hello
I’m in the process of putting my drag car on the street 440 running headers.
Advice on mufflers to go with? Size?

Anyone have some photos of where the exhaust comes out?
Was thinking of doing behind the back wheels on a angle

I have 3" TTI pipes all the way to the back bumper. Flowmaster mufflers. A little snug with the inboard springs, but it can be done.

Put TTI 3" on my 65 Dodge, didn't use TTI headers so had to add to cross over pipe. Tail pipes same as 65 Hemi's his is neater. Made a mistake put gas tank sump in center of tank! Had to cut strap and make box to go around sump.

Anybody done any 3.5" exhaust on a 65?

Good job 493 Mike! Did you do all the welding yourself?
Ya. I am still learning MIG but I do quite well with a stick weld. I buy 180* bends and cut out the fittings I need as I progress from front to rear. That way all is full size, same as a mandrel bent system.

I am thinking of doing the same thing with 3.5" although my MIG welding looks horrendous :moparsmiley:
