So I'm talking to a cop..

Oh yeah they will be on second hand market soon enough

There was a civilian version as well in 2014, the AWD Sport model, v6 and Hemi. V8 versions weren't included after the 2015 facelift.

I remember reading about the AWD Challenger too. Sadly, it is only available with the V6.

Makes sense to me, the AWD has been around on that platform for years. A friend has a Magnum Hemi R/T AWD and loves it.

are they still column shift?

which you can't buy from the dealer

they already are,the common issues are the transmissions giving out.
one of my friends just bought a furd, erm cough cough, ford interceptor/taurus thing.
i tried showing him all the specs and differences on the dodges but the trans made him leery.
so he bought this toreass, which looks like the trim is falling off already,
a rode hard put away wet kinda car.
i was surprised at how heavy the car is,but it rides good and feels okay.
still,i would have bought one of the awd chargers instead if it was me.

dadsbee-s challenger up there looks badass too,id so drive the wheels off that.
( ps,how heavy is that car? )

I've never read the specs Rob, I think it's a 4200 lb car. V6 only because the 8's were trashing the drive line apparently in the Chargers. All I know is this thing will out run my '69 Bee in the 1/4 without skipping a beat!

Yep - We had a couple V8 AWD Chargers.... column shift and all our Code 3 stuff where the console would normally go - been on the look out for a former LEO vehicle with the column shift
