I've had many Mopars and all were body color inside the trunk. My '64 Polara has what looks like GM trunk paint in the trunk. Is this correct?

I'm saying yes. I kinda think 62-65 are that way. I do know my 62 was.

I'm pretty sure 62-65 were gray spatter painted. Hard to tell sometimes because it doesn't hold up very well over the years.

Grey spatter as well as grey were used......

'64 &'65s had the Grey spatter, Chrysler color paint in the trunks. It was different from the GM shade. Always had been a favorite of mine, as you can always tell Original, un-Molested cars...

Sure.....Yes

Perhaps it was an option in later years. This is from the corner of a 1970 Plymouth paint chart.

This is from the actual 1970 Plymouth field service manual:

my 63's where painted, my 64 dodge was speckled & my 65's are painted go figure??

Wonder if on the 62-65 B bodies the plant they were built at may have determined the trunk finish. Any body tracked this? My 62 was body color built at Newark Delaware plant.

My 62 Dart and my 66 Dodge Coronet (very early built) LA built cars both had spatter paint in the trunk. I read somewhere that the 66 cars got the left over spatter painted trunks until the factory used it all up. My 64 Plymouth Savoy ( I think a LA built car) also has spatter paint in the trunk.
