Anyone else ever have this problem with TTI pipes?

Only have about 3000 miles on them. Those are their factory-welded joints. The exhaust is hung with flexible straps just behind the mufflers, and rubber isolators near the exits, so the system does have some give..

I should've added, I have the engine on mity-mounts and they're still in great shape. It doesn't move much at all when ya throttle it..trans mount looks good too.
 
Could you not just weld them up and they'd hold?
Forgive me, not a welder....
 
That joint definitely has torsional stress, maybe need to put a couple more hangers on it to support that area?

How do you see stress? And why would it be torsional stress?
 
Do you have the H section clamped? It looks like the right and left pipes are being pulled outward. I never clamped the H section on mine. They've been on there 16 years. Call TTI and see what thy say. At worst its an easy fix. Drill holes at the end of the cracks and weld them up.

I would contact TTI. Let them know, and send the pics. I'm sure they would want to know about it, and they would want to correct any upcoming problems with their products. You may just receive a package after that ?
 
Looks to be a fatigue failure, most likely failure started at the heat affected zone of the weld. Impossible to say for sure without a cut/polished weld section analysis. 440'
 
Thanks guys, I plan to give them a call...it is a relatively easy fix for sure, more just the "ugh" of having to crawl under there and do it. When I put the pipes in, I did as I always do with pre-made exhaust and fitted everything together nice, used their clamps to hold it in place and then welded all the joints. It's always worked well. I'm going to slowly loosen the hangers and see if there is any weird stress, maybe I have it pushed up towards the floor too much at the back? I suppose that could put extra pressure on that 'H' area as the cracks do start on the bottom on both sides. I still don't believe they should be cracking like that as I installed this setup the same as others I've done that never had an issue..
