Choke cable Grommet Max Wedge

Guys,

Once again B Bodies only to the rescue! LOL. Anyone know the correct size hole for the choke cable grommet for a 63 426 Wedge car? I have the original hole for the Speedo cable at 1 1/16" (this is a factory hole) and I know the choke hole is smaller. Everybody is peddling 66 and up grommets for both the choke and the speedo cables but these are wrong and too small. Any help much appreciated! I will be adding this hole to my tribute car.

Thank you so much for the reply! I have the hole in the dash already and the cables are in place. I am looking for the hole size on the firewall to run the cables to the carbs. Also the correct grommet to fit this hole. Any help appreciated!

Here is Choke location, I believe to be correct and matches your diagram. Second is my project car at 80% give or take. Thank you again. Any idea where to get a speedo grommet for the factory 1 1/16" hole? And who sells the grommet for the 7/8" hole choke cables. Sorry for all the questions!

They should also carry the correct choke grommet and any other MW items you might need.

I looked through 19 pages of listings on Detroit Muscle Technologies last night looking for interior trim clips I need. Didn't find them ... but I saw choke grommets. The Search key on their site is pretty lame (at least from my phone) but it looked like they have a LOT of small and hard to find parts at reasonable prices.

This is really strange that my factory hole dimension is 1 1/16" and all the repop stuff being sold is for 15/16" holes. They are not correct and are for 64 and up. I know this is a factory hole as it was a ground up resto. The search continues!

Getting closer! Now to find someone who has or makes these is another story! Second one from the left looks to be correct.
