G is the engine size in VIN, 2 is 72, and G is the plant. E44 is an engine code.

No idea about the others.

G2G. is actually three different things... Lets do it this way.. Your VIN number is RH23G2G129828.... It breaks down as

R = Plymouth Satellite
H = High trim level
23 = 2 dr hardtop 21 would be 2 dr post 27 would be 2 dr convertible
G = 318
2 = 1972
G = St Louis plant

129828 = Sequence number

E44 is just another way of indicating 318 but the decoder you used is using E44 from an earlier year since the 230 HP rating is gross not net which is correct for 72...

A12 they got wrong, it is the scheduled production date October 12th

FIX9 is the interior code F I have no info for since my knowledge is mostly 1970 & earlier... 1 is bench seat cloth & vinyl & X9 is black....

Could the F1 be a code for additional notes on a special floor material?
Either that or it might be a factory 'typo'

A12 Oct 12th
August is 8
Sept is 9
Oct is A
Nov is B
Dec is C

V4W is white Halo vinyl roof
F1X9 is cloth and vinyl black interior.

decode this one please

it's P1X9

there's rust spec on the curve of the P

P is premium on an interior code

Yes, untouched fender tag.
Dakota, by putting the @ symbol in front of a members name alerts them that they were mentioned in that particular thread.
Like this @Dakotaacres :thumbsup:

Member 69coronetrt is a plethora of information on fender tags.
I’m asking if what I’ve circled on your fender tag is done on all St. Louis tags. Hopefully he’ll chime in.
