Does anybody here happen to own a 2004 or 2005 Kia Rio I've been having a major problem with timing and I need someone to show me a picture at what position the cam lobes are when the timing marks are set properly thank you in advance for anybody can help me. Anthony

Sorry I cant help with your problem. I have a 2006 KIA Optima with only 127000 miles and a straight body that I am about to put up for sale for what ever I can get. I hope you have better luck than I have with your KIA. Mine has had 2 crank sensors and needs another and the transmission just gave up. My inlaws gave it to my daughter and it has been the most expensive free car I have ever had. Good luck with yours.

Could u have a faulty crank. Positioning sensor? That is a common thing with alot of new cars. That will change timing

A large percentage of cam/crank sensors from 3rd party brands are junk out of the box as well.

Not unusual to go through 3-4 before you get a good one or one that lasts longer than a couple of weeks.

So bad for my former P/T that I had to buy ONLY OEM Mopar.

Yup.....but have been lucky with a couple of cam sensors from local auto parts on my daughter's PT turbo. Luckily, she finally got rid of that Pitiful Thing.

I had a cam position sensor code come up on my daughter's boyfriend's Saturn, but it turns out that they don't have a cam position sensor! I tried doing everything that everyone said to do on line to get rid of the code to no avail! The only thing left to do was to replace the whole computer! Who develops a code for a sensor the car does not even have! Maybe that would explain GM s involvement in Saturn. Only GM would make up a code for a sensor the car does not even have!

I often found thatvon like 2.8 gms. They had a issue with the three powerpacks at the front of the engine breaking down from heat. Each pack holding two cylinder wires They would fail causing the air/idle mixture screw to carbon up and not function properly. Thank god I scraped it. It was starting be a money pit.

Well thanks for all your responses but the whole problem is that the engine broke the timing belt and I remove the cam gears but don't remember what position they went in to go back together.
