Car P@rn

Some amazing cars posted on here....you are so lucky to have then all....you can drive for a month here and not see a classic American. Thought I might post a few classic Brit cars....if that ok with you guys (say if its not and Ill stop). Its not easy to pick classic Brit built stuff to post because basically lots of UK cars from the 50/60s were pig ugly! Much better in the 70s though. In the US it was the other way around...IMO of course. Anyway here a 1962 Ford Consul Capri to start with.....

That's not bad, definately different. I've seen uglier cars.

I'm trying to pick the prettier ones! The front of the Capri was almost a straight copy of the Stateside T bird of the previous years. This is a Jenson Intercepter FF claimed to be the world's first 4wd super car. ....one of my favorites. Powered by MOPAR of course. Most had a lightly modified 383 .....10 were built with a 440 six pack under the bonnet....and one was built with a Hemi 426...but the Hemi never made it into production.
This is a 68 383 powered one.

That 62 consul Capri reminds me of the American 1960 Ford hardtops. Same roofline and horizontal fin. British styling looks like it might have been a couple years behind us in abandoning fins.
Love the sprite too. I'd always heard them called bug-eye sprites over here.
