I think Jegs kind of sucks.

I placed a large order two weeks ago with Jegs. Some items dropped ship from the manufacturer. Never got valid tracking numbers from them. I got emails from Jegs with tracking numbers for Fedex that were invalid when checked. I called Jegs this week to find out about my order, waited about 20 minutes before I got a person to talk to. She said she would place the order again because there was no activity on it, did'nt know the status? Really?

She said sometimes the order may get shipped twice when this happens, just call them if that happens. How do they stay in business?

I placed a small order with Summit two days ago. It is scheduled to be delivered today.

Never dealt with Jegs. Always Summit with never a problem.

I'm not a fan either. I've had trouble with their shipping notifications. Once i ordered 4 tires, which were delivered & stacked at the edge of my driveway, ( by the street) without any notification. Another time i ordered 4 wheels. They delivered 2, and then gave me contradictory info for several months, before i received the other 2. Their mobile version web site is hard to navigate as well. And i've noticed they carry mostly cheby junk, some ferd, and relatively very little Mopar.

We have spent well over 100k in the past couple years thru Summit (ATECH). Rarely have an issue. Jegs is a last resort.

No more JEGS for me. First they sent this,

Jeg's Customer Care

Told me I would have the part in 4 weeks
WRONG Huge waste of time.

There used to be Customer Service now everything is Corporate Service.

I had a scratch on a wheel summit sent out to me. I sent them a pic and they had another new one on the truck the next day. they sent me a new prepaid shipping label along with it to send back the scratched one. top notch A+ service.

This is news to me. I have spent thousands of dollars buying parts from Jegs without any drama.

My issue with JEGS is you order a part(s) from them, and they create a tracking number, give you a tracking number, and you would think it's being mailed out to you.
Then they don't even mail it for 7, 8, or 9 days.
Been happening with them, too many times now.
Grrr.

I'm looking for BF Goodrich tires, 15 inch 255's. Costco can't get them, summit can't get them, but jegs said they could, but are on backorder. That means they want me to order and may never get them. Summit is a far better place to buy. I have ordered whole engines, wheels with tires mounted and never had a problem. I won't buy from jegs again.

Amazon has been that way lately too but.....on an order that seemed to be lost, I got refunded for it and then after about another week, it arrived. Seems that happens more when they use USPS for shipping. Same thing seems to be happening on another. Tracking number has been created but hasn't been received by the post office yet and it's going on a week now. The last shipment took a full month.

I agree, I spent tons of $ building a drag car from 2008-2012, most of the stuff from Jegs….but that was then a d this is now. They even eliminated MOPAR section from their (now tiny) catalog. Since I bought my 66 Satellite 4 yrs. ago its Summit for me all the way.

Never really had any issues with Jegs, but Summit is so good that I haven't had any reason to use Jegs in the past several years. Not only is Summits customer service second to none, their shipping is very fast.

I think these companies are scamming the system in regard to their shipping practices, to keep their shipping ratings, and feedback, up to standards for rating purposes, and get their parts postings in a higher category, on the internet.
They know how to play the system to their advantage.

I have ordered from both (as most of us have); I get stuff from Summit in 2, 3 days tops, JEGS takes typically 4-5 days on average. I like Summit's website better although it can have some issues as well. Price wise, they are generally a wash as they will be within $1 of each other, so I pretty much always order from Summit or perhaps Amazon.

The small items I ordered from Jegs 2 weeks ago just arrived. Hopefully the exhaust kit and complete clutch arrive next week. The exhaust is the only thing keeping me from doing the first start on the 505.
