Scavenged an old gun safe, it's about 10" deep, 21" wide by 56" tall, nice heavy duty metal but I can't think of what to use it for....add more shelves for storage, or cut it down and make it into something more useful?

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

That's where I hang my Spiderman suit... when I'm not fighting crime.

a place to keep all your welding supplies. It'd keep dust off your stick and filler and off your helmet.

Fill that with beer and lock it. Gotta keep the kids out of your stash!

Iffin it were here, there'd be no problem using it in the manner for which it was designed...
I know mine are all full with stuff stacked on top, overflowin'. :elmer:

I could use a cabinet like that (with extra shelves) to store all my fixings (I assume you use the same word for nuts , bolts, washers etc etc)...at the moment they are in metal tins and boxes all over the place (many are in an old freezer!)...it can sometimes take me as long to find the bolts I need than it does to do the job! Looks virtually identical to my shotgun cabinet.....But with a much better lock!

I’ve got one just like it mounted next to the entrance door. I keep a varmint rifle, .22 pistol, keys for my vehicles/toolboxes, anything that if somebody got in I wouldn’t want to be taken easily. Also a few firecrackers, just for fun.

I'd use it for stowing paints, lubricants, fluids...reminds me of a storage cabinet for that sort a stuff.

Beer needs to be in the fridge (unless you are a Brit!), that would make a great liquor cabinet though.

As a few others have mentioned it needs to be filled with guns & ammo as was intended...

I'd fill it up with dried flowers and potpourri and lay out a bunch of 60s Flower Power decals all over it ..............

:bs:

Nahhhhhh, I really wouldn't. I'd find the guns I lost in that unfortunate boating accident years ago and stick them in it.

I have never owned a gun, nor have any plans to any time soon, but I might leave it mostly intact just in case this changes down the road. ;)
