did you get the whole car? Does it have disc brakes? Are you parting it out?

Yes, the whole car. Didn't think to look at the brakes, it was an auction sale and I was mainly interested in the 440.
Parting is the plan, but it's straight, I tried to send you photos via PM, but your box is full. I suppose I should join C bodies and see if anyone is looking for one. It is a fairly solid 4 door. Can always find another 440, nice, whole cars, not so much.View attachment 1072965

Yes Please do join FCBO as we C body owners don't have it as good as you B body guys. We need all the parts and cars we can get.

It would be good to sell it to someone who wants it rather than parting it. Get it running and driving good, clean it up some and make sell it.

Looks like drum brakes.

Yes on 1967 C bodies with 350 horse holley was the standard carb (junk)

It was driven to the yard a couple years ago. I knew the previous owner, he lived in my neighborhood. He owned it for about 30 years. Knowing the car, I probably got too excited and spent too much.

Curious, do those 350HP ones have 915 heads?

Usually not, but I’ve seen a few of them that did have 915 heads. This was back in the 80’s when they were everywhere and lined up I n the wrecking yards by the dozen.

Glad to hear that... My spidey senses were telling me it did have 915's. I wanted it either way. We shall see.

I'll bet it does... Back in the day I got quite a few sets of them off 67 C bodies.... But if the car is to good to part out you have a dilemma.....

I have seen 915 castings with 1.60 exhaust valves instead of 1.74. One 440 engine I took apart had a small valve 915 head on one side and the regular 383 style head on the other. Be aware that all 915's are not equal.

Small valve 915's just need a little "adjustment" Bigger intakes an exhaust valves all around....

They will be the small exhaust valves. Ports are big, so all they need are new exhaust vales and bingo!

67 440's got the 915s. 350hp -1.60 small valve, 375hp -1.74 valve.

I like it. I love these old beaters. I just missed out on a 67 4 door for free. Neighbor already had it going up on a flat bed to go off to scrap yard. The driver would not work with me to allow me to even buy it from the yard. It was going to get crushed. It was a 383. Neighbor said he would have given it to me if I asked sooner.

Must have been a Newport. 'Yorkers came with 440's.
