69 Bee bumper bracket to body bolts

When I got my car it didn’t have a bumper or brackets. I now have those and I’m getting ready to put everything on. I’m trying to figure out what size bolt holds the bracket to the rear of the body. I tried looking it up and from what I can see it says 3/8 x 16 is the size and thread. Does anyone know for sure if this is correct? I’ve tried a couple bolts that I have however these don’t fit. One is too small and one is too large.

one of the bottom bolts on each side goes into a threaded hole in the bottom of the rail/crossmember....... see what thread that hole is, it's at least 3/8, maybe 7/16?...... I just did this but the car is gone

I bet 3/8. I have a 7/16 and it is tough to get in.
