Our supermarket shelves are already emptying.

It's going to be sunny and 80 deg Fahrenheit this weekend in Savannah, GA.
:)

I'm confused by the title sir, someone (not gonna mention names) said that us Americans DON'T panic. I'm sorry to hear that you will be having a storm and are running outta supplies

As long as the TP is still on the shelves. Heading for 40's this weekend in Ohio.

Its pretty amazing that so many people panic buy groceries for snow. Like it's never happened before in Colorado.
:realcrazy:

I'm at a loss as well Roger, I go shopping these days once a month and corner store for milk every 2 weeks. We could live off our freezer and pantry for 4 months.

It's all in the planing. For those that can not think beyond tomorrow some day it maybe really tough.

We are bracing for a wicked blizzard named Xylia this weekend. Funny, they still had plenty of bread and milk. Usually, those are the first things to go.

Meh, I'll believe it when I see it. If you have lived here long enough you would know that the forecasts are about 50-50 at best.
Keep the gas tanks, freezers and pantries full all winter.
Never understood why the transplants always make a run a day or two before the storm. True Coloradans stay stocked all winter.
Ignorance I guess.
Do you remember the October 97 storm Steve? It killed 7.
We'll see if this one tops it. Safe money says no.

That's the way I was raised, spend all summer in the garden. Harvest it, can it, store it. I didn't know vegetables came in cans till was in 6th grade. My dad kept 2 freezers full of meat just in case.

Don't y'all know it's the law you must go to the store for French toast whenever the "S" word is mentioned?

A record breaking day in Manitoba yesterday +14 then 4 inches of snow overnight and a balmy +3 today! and tonight it's going down to -14 overnight! Roll on the summer time
Sounds like single sweat shirt weather for you. I don't relish them but I do remember those days.

People are all freaked out it's going to be another "Bomb Cyclone" like we had in 2019. Weird that the storm was on March 13th. Authorities don't want to be caught in that situation again. All the signs on the highway have warnings not to travel this weekend. Snow is no big deal, everyone owns at least one 4x4 here. It was the 100 mph winds, it uprooted a huge pine tree in my yard. We actually went out a saved people in my son's Ram 4x4.

Funny it was 75 here today with thunderstorm/tornado warnings tonight, and that storm may get us on Sunday night.......

And I need Bread and milk too, but have almost a full case of beer.
These March to May type of storms are good for taking out trees and powerlines.
Current forecast is only 10-20" of Snow and the temps are not that cold either, maybe 20-degrees.
I doubt I'll need to add the Diesel 911 fuel additive.

We're supposed to hit 70 here today.
