Guys,

Trying to decide on some front runners for my 63. Got to be a lot cheaper looking at some awesome photos rather than buying tires and trying them out! Please post your front tires and wheels if you have a 63! The more detail and the closer up the better.

Thanks much!!!

I have 215R70's on 15X7 rims on the front of my "64 Dodge and had to trim the lower corners of front fenders to clear, due to amount of front fender turn in. Same combo clears on my "67 Coronet because of less fender turn in.

Cooper Cobras (Never had any problems with them making contact with the front of the fender opening.)

The fronts run real close to the front of the wheel well opening when the wheel is turned inward but should be ok. Passenger side is closer than driver side. I'll probably massage that a little so it doesn't grab.

Mine looked like that too. but, when we were wheeling it back into my garage after getting it home from paint shop, one of the tires grabbed when steering was turned. It didn't hurt anything, but it sure caught my attention! My little body saw came out the next day for the trim.

Sorry , no pics but i've got Vredestein Sprint Classics from Tire Rack in 185/15. They also make it in a 215/70 if you want something wider. I wanted a front runner type of tire but not too skinny . I ground off and buffed the sidewalls to get rid of the writing. These tires have a great vintage look to the tread if that's what you're after.
