I noticed that they only go up to '99 mph' at which point they turn red and start flashing.

We have one approaching a school zone that's been "modified" and doesn't give the actual speed.

It just says "Your Speed:"

SLOW DOWN

I'm not very fond of that.

Let it do it's job.

It's a 35 MPH zone and even if I'm doing 30, it's gonna bitch me out?

We have a lot of those around the place....but they only give up to about 5 kmph over the limit before flashing up with "SLOW DOWN"

Really disappointing, as it would be nice to know how fast you were going.

We have those here as a notice to you what you should be going. Just behind over the hill is the actual radar patrol catching you for not reading , now what your going to pay for speeding. Folks ignore those till its to late . Now you have to donate to the city. Great cash grab.

Some of those signs record averages for speed on a road to help determine if Police need to set up speed traps. Neighborhood kids where I live use the signs to see how fast they can throw baseballs. It really screws up the average that the signs are recording!!!

The problem I see with that, is if you try to go faster to elude without transporting yourself through time, your limit is 87 mph. What if I don't WANT to time travel at that particular moment?

Those old units will read "99"...so I've been told.
(Hey, it was 30 years ago....in another state....that required front and rear tags....
but I never ran a front tag.....but I did run a new 5.0 Mustang that would go over 99mph....)

PC police tv censorship is over the top. I saw a documentary on the Tirpitz. They mentioned that it was attacked by british midget submarines.



They bleeped out "midget", on the audio and the cc.


Guess they didnt want to offend those long dead height challenged undersizedmarines.
