Changing a name won't change how people feel about a sport that is more about making money than playing the game. Everything is about placating to people, how can you make one group happy while making another group mad and call it fair. It's always about oiling the squeaky wheel. Seems a little harsh. I'm Native American, not an alcoholic, been continuously employed for 46 years, many times at more than one job and I couldn't give a crap what some **** hole city names their bunch of arrogant overpaid primadonna ball players that have very few admirable qualities. In the end, it doesn't matter, it's just a damn game.

I have to disagree on one point (bunch of arrogant overpaid primadonna ball players).... The only reason I watched MLB and not the NFL or NBA is because this wasn't the case at least not with the Indians. The team for the years I watched was made up mostly of country boys and foreigners (Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, etc) and were always top notch guys, always stood for the anthem, never got political and always made the sport look good.

Justin Bieber, Fransisco Lindor, Corry Kluber, Ramirez, Miller, Cody Alan... Great guys. Sucks the MLB is dragging the teams down by getting political.

The new name is soooo Cleveland; guaranteed to offend no one, win nothing, and as a bonus they can reuse the last 4 letters on the uniforms

Maybe the Minnesota Vikings should change their handle…could be offensive to Vikings, or the packers from Green Bay who…packed stuff all day? How about them Patriots…being named as a football team? Are we offending the old Buccaneers or the handle “Pirates”? They were a bunch of lawless-murdering skanks. Anyone outraged? Indians, Warriors, Braves, Chiefs…HOW this is considered offensive and WHY this sorta **** is something on any priority list given all the other crap going on is way beyond me.
