Look at the topography. The ocean breeze blows all the pollution up against the mountains and it never leaves. If the wind would come from the east over the range and blow the crap out in the ocean the city would be clean. The ocean would be a cesspool though. LOL
Actually been political free. It's a science question and discussion. And NASA is not even close to a big polluting source. The VAST majority of their rocket smoke is steam. From burning hydrogen/oxygen.Tried to grille some burgers today and a nasty wind and rain storm blew in......dayam.....but got the burgers done after moving my smoking 'Old Smokey' into the back of my beater Dakota and moving the thing as far forward as I could towards the back overhead door as I could! The rain was blowing in about 12 or so feet under my carport so things were getting wet under there. I believe in climate change but not so much that humans are causing it. And if anyone said something political about all of this, please turn yourself in as I didn't read every single post to see if one of the Henchmen can do something about it!!
However all that happened or didn't happen- we didn't have a dang thing to do with it.Ice age, shut off the sun for a decade or more. Asteroids or volcanoes. Just a theory. The earth has been peppered with asteroids. Did the extinction of the dinosaurs and the ice age happen shortly there after? I need to go back to High School. I must have been screwing with the girls when we studied that stuff.

So, lead by example. Ditch your classic car. Ditch ALL your ICE vehicles. Stop using grid electric, put solar in and only use it. Don't use batteries to store energy overnight because the rare materials are toxic (and the strip mining used to acquire them is horrible for mother earth). Stop buying electronics. No more computers, TVs, Kindles, or stereos - all of them are made from "detrimental" materials and harm the climate. Don't fly anywhere. Travel by horse or mule. Or on foot. Cook over an open wood fire. If you're so sure all this is ruining the planet...lead by example.
