Lucky dog, it's gonna be 96 here today. Oh must be global warming. Nope it's just early September in Oklahoma.blah blah blah depressing thread. So anyway, it's saturday of labor day weekend and it's going to be 78 and sunny today so I'm going to pull the cover off my 69 Coronet and rev up that blown 440, burn up some tires and smile listening to that big *** 440 sing. Life's short, lets go get them muscle cars out and have some fun guys!!
Many places have their “best days of the year” periods. Here in CT and much of New England it’s September. Cool overnight (50), drier and not too hot during the day (68), clear blue skies. Everything is green. There are agricultural fairs, car shows, apple picking, good stuff. I’m sure Oklahoma has an equivalent, just not right now apparently.Lucky dog, it's gonna be 96 here today. But what about all the climate change that happened 1000....2000.....10000 and more years ago?? 200 years isn't a very good barometer to go by. It's a flash in the pan. And with the way things are going in this world, humans probably won't be around for too many more years anyways. That is an interesting article. It also discussed more than just greenhouse gases, and I agree that information like that should be considered in making decisions. But I would hope that those decisions will consider the larger situation and not be as extreme as your suggestion. I just got back from time with the cows and sheep and know there were greenhouse gases produced. Am I working to figure out if that can be changed? Sure! Is that the point of my previous post? No. My point is that the discussion here is in its own bubble with like minded people taking refuge in their views and posting little bits of things that have partial truths. That cute little timeline wasn't the main focus of my meme comment, but it is not free of partial truths (polar caps (plural)). You are right that it has some has some facts (there is global warming, the lakes and streams did acidify, there were dire famines in the 1970's, and there is climate change). So it looks like some of the climate predictions did materialize. Another one that I have posted here before relates to model predictions made in the late 1980's and early 1990's. The image below shows those. The yellow dots happened after those predictions were made. I have not updated it for a few years, but don't see that being refuted as the new data come in. Maybe sometime in the near future it will swap back to cooling. If it does, I would be very happy, but that model takes into account our emissions and seems to have not been totally wrong. Extreme weather is an interesting one too. I heard in a conversation last night that the extreme floods in Tennessee would be a 1000 or 10000 year event in its recent climate zone, but not if you think that zone is changing, like if it shifted to a more tropical zone. Don't know how accurate that comment was, but the person who knows more about the topic than I do.

I don't expect to change anyone who is set in their point of view, but I do hope that many of you will be open minded to the evidence. Echo chambers like this one usually don't move people to change. Nor to do they provide all of the evidence or the whole story. That is just my opinion.

Are we talking about climate change, or pollution ? Ever read about species that became extinct long before humans ? How does sewage affect climate ? There was more climate change by nature, namely as asteroid hitting the planet, than man will ever do. These are facts, dude.Ever see smog?
Ever read about DDT?
Ever live where they tell you not to eat the local seafood cause of all the sewage in the water?
Ever read about a species we humans caused the extinction of?
These are effects dude...
If there's ONE thing in life you should have confidence in is the ability of humans to **** stuff up...
There ya go. We're done here.Climate change is real and has many, many contributing factors, almost all of them have nothing to do man. Climate change has been real since the creation of earth and will continue no matter what man does.
Yeah we do it comes later in the year. October is nice though December sometimes. Many places have their “best days of the year” periods. Here in CT and much of New England it’s September. That’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are! That's the best counter narrative I've heard as yet.
Now that is what my divorce lawyer said when we walked into court with a woman judgeGuy's want to prove their right. Like my sister says ''It's a penis thing"![]()
