We here in eastern PA are experiencing a slow down receiving regular mail. Haven't received any for three days now. So I called the local Post Office and received a recording with the normal choices, "press 1 if you haven't received mail for one to two days", "Press 2 if you haven't received mail for three to four days" :blah:.

They're stating that because of "Covid" they're short staffed and doing the best that they can.

Did a little searching and I'm seeing a lot of complaints about shipments being delayed. Same excuse. It's been stated that there isn't any Vax mandates for USPS so that's not what's behind it.

Watch shipping with USPS unless time isn't that important.

Mail delivery slowdown: USPS to slow delivery starting October 1

$160 billion projected loss

The USPS contends that its 10-year plan is necessary to erase a projected $160 billion loss over the next decade. The effort aims to boost revenue through expanded parcel delivery and postage hikes, with the latest postage increase having gone into effect in August.

Everything seems to be slowed........the Resident, the mail, shipping, truckers...........just about everything.
Don't let your guard down, you can do without mail.
Remember when folks lost their minds over toilet paper and that special Christmas toy in limited supply.
Yep, just wait until it's something they really need. It's going to get far more stupid.

It IS covid...but not the jab mandate.

It's the states who are still paying out "covid relief money", for people to sit home on their asses and do NOTHING.

On YOUR dime.

11M open positions nationwide.
7M people in the unemployment rolls.

You can't swing a dead cat without hitting an available position...but people are ******* lazy, and getting PAID TO BE THAT WAY.

What do they expect??

They are at 2x normal time in many cases these days. Tucson to Michigan box took 15 days.

Our local Post Office has a large HELP WANTED poster out on the wall of the building.

Our local PO is hiring here also.
Rural route carriers.

They have lost or delayed delivery of 2 of my bill payments in the last few months, and yes I know I am a dinosaur because I still write checks to pay most of my bills but never had a problem in over 30-40 years till now.

Mailed box last week from PA to NY. I checked tracking number. It went from Pa to Jacksonville, Fla distribution center! Left Fla, but I don’t know where it is now. It said it was in transit?

They didn't have any issues before the Wuhan Plandemic started
why is it a problem now

they were doing just fine in Dec. 2019

they want more USPS Federal Union workers, millions more
millions paying more Union dues, millions more votes

It's not quite that simple although essentially I agree with you. I've heard first hand accounts from people at Wal Damn Mart that they can't keep new hires because they treat their employees like concentration camp prisoners. A woman who works for Home Damn Depot told me she has COPD and has to wear a mask - it's killing her. The question is if there is no mask mandate, which we outlawed here months ago, why are employers still imposing it on their employees even if they're vaxxed? Because these big box stores are getting COVID stimulus money to do this ****.

You're lucky you got it. I sent a box from KY to WI and the box was soaked. Luckily nothing fell out.

Years ago, starting pay in this BF KY town was $25 per hr. Still not wearing a mask for that $$$. Plus it's a BS job.

For years now I have been paying my bills at a local place that let's you pay just about everything right there. No checks, no mail, and it's credited immediately. You should see if a service like that is in your area.

USPS has has many problems for quite a few years. Several years ago my local USPS reduced mail delivery down to about 3 days a week. The local post office worker told me they couldn't get workers to deliver mail, they quit after 2 or 3 weeks.

We have started missing days, the worst only being two days in a row. Two lost packages so far. Sometimes it does not come until 6 or 7 at night. It all started about three months ago - At first I thought it was our new carrier (rural route), but our long-term previous carrier told us that the post office was barely holding things together before she quit, so I guess I should not be surprised that it has gotten worse.
